TISI in collaboration with TAI. Push EV Battery Standards, Safety Come First!

Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), the Ministry of Industry and Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI) had the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Electric Vehicle Battery Testing Center which will be operated in 2020 with the first fully integrated battery safety and standard testing services in ASEAN with international standards, UNECE R100 and R136 to emphasize to be the forefront of the electric vehicle industry development in the region.

TAI pointed out that if Thailand has the clear and firm government policy, B30 is possible

Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI) said that if Thailand had set the clear and firm energy policy for fuel and vehicle efficiency. Thailand can increase ratio of bio-diesel from B10 upto B30 by using B100 which produced with hydrogenated method but it will affect higher cost.

FTI lowers car output forecast to 2m

Toyota group opens plant for recycling car batteries

Toyota Motor Thailand has opened a battery life cycle management plant in Chachoengsao, the first overseas facility outside Japan, to circulate batteries of hybrid cars sold in Thailand. The new facility is a partnership with Toyota subsidiaries and affiliates, comprising Toyota Daihatsu Engineering & Manufacturing (TDEM), Toyota Motor Asia-Pacific, Toyota Tsusho Thailand, Denso Thailand and Siam Waste Management.
